Hadaf Mining Company is a proud member of the Afghanistan’s Eastern Region Gemstone Association, which comprises members who extract gemstones from pegmatite fields in eastern Afghanistan. These mines are situated in the mountainous terrain of high elevations, making them difficult to access due to the considerable distances that must be covered on foot. Miners rely on mules and horses for mining supply purposes.
Afghanistan is renowned for its world-class Tourmaline, also known as “King Colors,” as it is found in more hues, shades, and nuances than any other gemstone. Tourmalines are extremely popular jewelry stones and come in an impressive range of colors, including pink, blue, green, yellow, black, and colorless. Bi-color and multi-color stones are also available.
We offer various types of tourmalines, such as Achroite, Chrome, Dravite, Elbaite, Indicolite, Liddicoatite, Paraiba, Rubellite, Schorl, Uvite, Verdelite, and Watermelon. The value of tourmalines is subjective, but bright, pure tones of red, blue, and green are generally considered the most valuable. However, the electric vivid green to blue shades of copper-bearing tourmaline are so exceptional that they are in a class by themselves.
Please refer to the attached laboratory identification report for specific tourmaline weights, measurements, shapes, cutting styles, and colors. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our sales department at sales@hadafmining.com. We provide 100% natural, unheated, nor treated rough, loose, and cab-grade tourmalines.
