Hadaf Mining Company is collaborating with Jegdalek Ruby Miners in Afghanistan. The Jegdalek deposit, situated in Kabul, Afghanistan, has been mined using artisanal small-scale mining methods for approximately 700 years. The deposit has contributed to the formation of the Himalaya, Karakoram, Hindu Kush, and Pamir mountain ranges.
Ruby is a valuable corundum mineral and is widely regarded as one of the most prized gemstones in the world. Finding gem-grade natural rubies is significantly rarer than diamonds. Only about 1% of gem-quality corundum is suitable for faceting. The purest form of corundum is colorless, with chromium being the trace element that causes ruby’s red hue, ranging from an orangey red to a purplish red. The intensity of the ruby’s red color depends on the percentage of chromium present—the more chromium, the stronger the red color of the ruby.
We provide a wide range of sizes and shapes of cabochons (semitransparent) and faceting (translucent) ruby stones that would perfectly match and suit your needs.
If you are seeking 100% natural, unheated, nor treated raw and faceting fine-quality and commercial-quality rubies, please contact our sales department.
Please note that we offer guaranteed natural stones only, and only natural stones are considered precious. Therefore, exercise caution when dealing with lab-created or man-made synthetic stones that may have an unnaturally bright or fluorescent appearance, as this could be indicative of artificial coloring or a synthetic stone.
